Mike and Chelsea are originally from Columbus, Ohio, where they met in college playing sports. They made their way to Texas in 2014 to be closer to family and have loved it ever since. Chelsea spent more than 10 years working in the non-profit sector, and recently transitioned to a consulting firm where she supports nonprofits with their fundraising and marketing initiatives. Mike is a passionate teacher at Carroll ISD, where he teachers adaptive PE. He also coaches the offensive line for the Carroll Dragons football team.
The Tibbitts have an energetic crew of three girls: Kyle leads the pack and she is in the third grade at Carroll Elementary; Scout is 4 and in pre-k with Miss Monica, and Murphy, age 2, is the grand finale to this sweet girl gang. The Tibbitts girls always have a full calendar of activities: t-ball, tennis, playdates, attending Milestone Church, and of course cheering on the Dragons! They especially love spending time with family that live close by and you can often find them swimming, enjoying tex-mex, and playing board games with grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The Tibbitts’ journey with Premier Prep School began in 2018, when Kyle was just two years old and the family needed to make a quick transition in her care. After touring several other schools, Premier was the obvious choice for their family. Kyle was exceptionally prepared academically and socially because of her time spent at PPS. Since then their family has grown, and Scout and Murphy have both attended Premier Prep since they were 10 weeks old.
PPS is the best choice for our girls. Not only do we trust they are physically safe there, but their developing hearts and minds are safe too thanks to the incredible teachers and curriculum. The girls are lovingly challenged in the classroom, encouraged to be kind friends, and have the opportunity to consume the Word of God daily. They are not just cared for – they are loved and championed, and we could not ask for more. Just like in sports, it takes a team to win – PPS is the best teammate in raising kids.
